Base Nautique32
Yasmine Hammamet marina with boats moored

About us

A crew from the marina, a boat kept in order, and the gulf of Hammamet as a playground.

The story, without the romance

Base Nautique 32 is first of all a pontoon at Yasmine Hammamet marina, and years spent on the water of the gulf, fishing as much as cruising. The name comes from our berth at the marina, number 32, and it stuck.

The starting point was simple. In Hammamet it is easy to find a large excursion boat with a hundred people on board, music you did not choose and a timed programme. It is much harder to find a private boat, with a skipper who adapts the trip to your group and leaves you in peace when you want peace.

That is the gap we fill: private trips, or very small groups, on a 10-metre cabin cruiser limited to 12 passengers. No forced entertainment, no loudspeaker. The sea puts on a good enough show by itself.

Safety first, without making it a slogan

The boat is insured, inspected and equipped beyond the regulatory minimum: adult and child life jackets, liferaft, VHF, first aid kit. The skipper holds the required certificates and the crew member alongside knows every trip by heart.

And above all: when the weather is bad, we do not go out. Even if it is your only possible date, even if the group insists. That is the rule with no exception, and it is why the weather guarantee exists.

Who runs the base

The base was founded in 2014 by Ahmed Jedidi, who runs the pontoon and fits out the boat. He, or the crew member alongside him, is who you will speak to and sail with. Not a middleman.
