Jet skiing in Hammamet

New equipment, a supervised riding zone, and the bay as a playground.

Hammamet Bay at full speed

Jet-skiing remains the most popular activity at the base, and for one simple reason: five minutes after the briefing, you're off across the turquoise waters, with the medina on one side and the open sea on the other. No licence is required; our instructors are on hand to supervise.

Our machines are the latest models from Yamaha, well-maintained and suitable for beginners. You can ride alone or with a partner on the same machine, and you might even spot the pirate ship doing its rounds in the bay along the way: it's become a classic photo opportunity.

How's the exam period going?

Meet at the base on Yasmine Hammamet beach. After the safety briefing and once you've been kitted out (lifejacket compulsory, provided), an instructor will accompany you out onto the water and will supervise you throughout the session. The sailing area is clearly marked and well away from swimmers.

A standard session lasts 15 minutes, either on your own or with a partner on the same machine. When riding as a pair, you can take turns at the controls whenever you like. For a longer session, please ask us: this can be arranged at the time of booking, depending on how busy we are. Minors may ride as passengers with a parent; driving is restricted to those aged 16 and over.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need a licence to fly?

No. The session is supervised by an instructor, which means you can fly without a licence within the marked-out area. The pre-flight briefing is all you need to get to grips with the aircraft.

At what age can you start riding?

Riding is restricted to those aged 16 and over. Younger children may ride as passengers behind a parent, provided they are wearing a lifejacket that fits them properly.

Can two people ride on the same machine?

Yes, our machines are approved for two people. You can swap roles during the session, whilst the machine is stationary and under the supervision of the instructor.

What happens if the sea is rough?

If sea conditions exceed a certain level, we do not take the boats out: the session is rescheduled for later in the day or postponed, at no extra cost. It is the instructor who makes the decision, not the queue.
